Associate Principal: Luther Dollar IV

As a man of faith, family, and unwavering purpose, my journey through education spans over two decades of service, mentorship, and transformation. From my first day teaching English and coaching football in Miami, as a school counselor and administrator in Nashville, to his current role as an associate in Houston, I have remained steadfast in the belief that every student holds unique potential and promise. As educators it is our sacred duty to help students see it, believe it, and live it. Being a good human requires us to see the best in everything, and everyone, including when hard times and hard things arise.
My leadership is shaped by empathy, integrity, and a deep commitment to creating spaces where students are not only challenged academically but uplifted emotionally, guided with compassion, and nurtured to become confident, kind, and courageous individuals. Education is not just a job, but a calling with a lifelong promise to build bridges, restore hope, and lead with heart. Every classroom, every conversation, every decision is an opportunity to change a life, and that is the true measure of success.
Assistant Principal: Juan Serrano

Hello! My name is Juan Serrano, and I am proud to serve as the Assistant Principal at C.E. King High School 9th Grade Campus.
I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and grew up in Tampa, Florida. I always had education in the core of my life. I grew up being around teachers and always looked to serve others.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Language Education and my Master of Arts in French from the University of South Florida. I worked in public and private K-12 schools where I taught French, Spanish and ELA. After teaching for four years in the Sunshine State, I relocated to Texas. I served as a teacher in Seguin ISD for six years where I taught French and Spanish and also served as the LOTE Department Head.
I received my Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Texas State University. My journey began by a simple reflection: "If I could make a difference in one student's life, how much impact could I make at a campus level?" I have always reflected back on the teachers that made a difference in my life and I always aspired to rise to the occasion and leave my mark and create a legacy.
I am blessed to join Sheldon ISD and continue to serve students, teachers/staff, parents and the community!
Dean of Instruction Dr. Shaterra Jackson

My name is Dr. Shaterra Jackson, and I bring over 19 years of experience in education, having served as a teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. I’m passionate about creating supportive environments where both students and staff can thrive. Outside of school, I enjoy reading, shopping for a good deal, and cheering on my two kids who both run track.
At the heart of my work is a deep belief in educating and understanding the whole child. I believe that when we are kid-driven and data-informed, we can provide the right academic and emotional support to help every student reach their full potential. I am especially passionate about fostering a strong sense of belonging for all students, because when children feel seen, safe, and valued, they are more likely to engage, grow, and succeed. I look forward to partnering with you to continue building a connected and student-centered school community.
